Introducing Tags: Organize Vendors Your Way

Every company manages vendors differently. With Tags, you can customize Stackpack to match your team's workflows by creating your own labels and applying them to any vendor.

Tag vendors however you want, for example:

  • Critical Vendor
  • Uses PII
  • Do Not Renew
  • AI Vendor
  • Under Review

Tags can be added directly from your vendor list or from any vendor profile. Once applied, you can instantly filter, search, sort, and report on vendors by tag – making it easy to find exactly what you're looking for.

Whether you're preparing for renewal season, tracking high-risk vendors, or simply organizing vendors in a way that makes sense for your business, Tags gives your team the flexibility to tailor Stackpack to your unique needs.

What Tags does

Tags is a single, flexible field on every vendor record. You create your own tags, in your own words, and apply as many as you need to a given vendor. One vendor can carry several tags at once. There's no predefined library and no rules to configure — you name a tag, you apply it, and it's immediately something you can filter, search, sort, and group your entire vendor list by.

That's the whole idea: you decide the dimensions that matter, and Stackpack lets you cut the list along them in seconds instead of scrolling.

A few ways teams can use it

Tags came straight out of requests we've heard from the people living in their vendor lists every day, and the best part is that there's no right way to use them. A tag is whatever you decide it is.

You could tag vendors you're planning to drop so you can filter to that set heading into a review cycle. You could group everything you'd loosely call "AI spend," even though there's no official definition of what counts. Or you could tag your handful of most important vendors so you can jump straight to them across every department.

None of those are categories we could have designed in advance, and yours probably won't be either. That's the point: you bring the categories, and Tags does the slicing.

Get started with Tags

Tags is live and rolling out to Stackpack customers now. Once it's in your vendor list, open any vendor, add a tag, and start slicing.

If you're still tracking vendors in a spreadsheet and want to see what it's like to organize, filter, and act on your full vendor list in one place, start a 30-day trial or schedule a demo and we'll walk you through it.

We built Tags because you asked for it. Tell us what you tag — it's shaping what we build next.
